A system through which lay members of St. Michael Parish can be trained and organized to provide pastoral care to people in the parish and community in need of spiritual and emotional support during hard times in life.
Stephen Ministers are lay persons who complete 50 hours of training to provide high quality Christian care to individuals experiencing a crisis or challenge such as divorce, grief, loss of a job, hospitalization, relocation, or loneliness.
We have many people in our parish and community in need of care and support. Often people suffer in silence and do not request or receive the care they need. This will give us a team of people equipped to bring Christ’s love and care to those who need it most.
