Hello Parishioners of St. Michael’s Parish!
I wanted to update you all on a recent project that has been progressing this last week. As you
may have noticed the 1 st Communion and 8 th Grade Graduation Class photos have been
removed from their wall display by the Fannon Center. The reason for this change is because
the photos are going be to electronically copied and uploaded onto the electric kiosk in the
Gathering Space of the church. Parishioners will be able touch and select on the display screen
of the kiosk their own, and others, class photo. This project will help to expand the electronic
kiosk to be more than just a display screen, but to be an user-friendly and interactive screen for
the betterment of the community. Members of the parish staff and I hope that such a change
will lead to:
1. A renewed appreciation and curiosity of St. Michael’s history seen through the
young people who have been sacramentally nourished in our church and educated
in our school.
2. An increased awareness of other activities, events, or projects within and outside
our parish community that will be displayed on the kiosk alongside the class photos.
3. A better preservation and maintenance of the class photographs.
I want to offer my gratitude to Rachel Shumar, our Parish Youth Minister and Confirmation
Coordinator, who is working with me to make this project a reality.
Lastly, the PARISH NEEDS YOUR HELP. During this process of collecting and converting the
photographs into electronic copies, I have noticed that there have been class photos that have
gone missing or are damaged and in need of a replacing. Below are the following class photos
and years that are needed to complete the project. If you have any of the requested class
photos and are willing to donate them or bring them to the parish office to make an official
copy, it would be greatly appreciated!
For 8 th Grade Graduation Classes, the following years are needed: 1976, 1977, 1979, 1981,
1982, 1983, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020.
For First Communion Photos, the following are needed: 1984, 2010 (School and PSR), 2013
(School and PSR).

photos be a moment for enjoyment in looking into the past and renew our hope at the years
ahead for St. Michael’s Parish.
